This major healthcare PPP project will provide a new hospital for Portsmouth using the Private Finance Initiative. The building will be provided for the Portsmouth Hospitals (NHS) Trust, by a consortium made up of Carillion and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The new building allows the trust to centralise all of its acute medical services on one site. The hospital will provide 1,168 beds and 116 day-case beds plus 20 main operating theatres, seven surgical theatres and three endoscopy suites.
